Scribble. Erase. That was basically all you could hear around Damien. The sound of him crossing out and jotting down words and phrases on a piece of notebook paper, hoping that they'd eventually fall in place and end up making a song. This was what he did in his spare time, or when he didn't feel like going to class, like now.

He sat with his pen near his chin, thinking, on the bottom stair of the school. He knew not many people came down these stairs since they were in the back of the school so he didn't mind being out in the open. He flicked his hair out of his blue eyes and sat staring at the paper hoping something would jump out at him or a lightbulb would come on inside his head.

Okay, so maybe it was bad that he was skipping class, but who was there to stop him. The teachers at this place could care less about who was there, but of course that wasn't what they told the parents. Damien had always wanted to go on a different route in life, one that involved music. He had set up a recording studio in his uncle's basement. It wasn't anything fancy, but it was something that he could work with.

His uncle had always told him he had musical talent 'after all Damien was related to him'. So, he had set Damien up with a guitar and some lessons, but soon Damien learned to pick up notes and rythm on his own, so lessons weren't really needed. He wasn't one to brag, heck, he wasn't even one to talk, but he liked being alone. It suited him. Sure, he had his circle of friends and the occasional crushes, but sometimes it was better to just be alone..

Angie was walking through in her slow limping gait. She had study hall and she always skipped it so she could find a more peaceful area to think.

She looked up just as someone came bounding past her knocking her off her feet. She looked to them as they ran off apparently they were late for a class is what she assumed. She frowned when she saw her notebooks scattered all over the place. She moved to pick up a sketch she had done as it got blown away by a light breeze. She frowned and watched as was blown down the stairs. "Just bloody damn perfect." She said frustratedly as she carefully got up. It took her a minute or two then she bent over and pulled up her jeans leg to make sure her brace was okay.

Once she had tightened and adjusted it she began to pick up her things. It was mostly her drawings and doodles that she had done. She snatched at a few, but they too got blown down the stairs. "No you don't." She said trying to reach one and managed to catch it before it too could get blown away. She looked at in thought for a moment. That one was her most prized. It was a sketch of her mom and dad dancing infront of the fireplace and christmas tree at christmas. She put it away then begand to pick the rest of her things up.

Once she had her things she began to put what she had picked up in her messenger bag tiredly. She had half the mind to just skip the rest of school and go home at this point. She had managed to make one friend here so far.

She walked to the stairs and stopped in her tracks when she saw a guy at the bottom. A pretty dang cute guy at that. She looked to her picture that was close by. She quietly pulled out her sketch pad and sat on the brick wall that flanked the stairs and started to sketch him. She didn't know what it was about the what she saw, but it brought inspiration to her. It wasn't just that he was rather cute, it was his posture and the fact that he was there at that moment when she had been searching for inspiration. She watched him for a moment then began to sketch him.
