Sophie Desiree Kentworth. Or, at least, that was what the card in the girl's hand read as she put it away. She ran a hand through her blonde hair and sighed as she walked to her Lexus. She adjusted her Chanel bag and pulled her keys out of one of the pockets. She pulled her one-of-a-kind pink video iPod out of the largest pocket and slid it out of its soft case, then added the unneeded case to the contents of her purse.

She adjusted her pink Chanel sunglasses and continued on her walk to her car, her red ballet flats standing out against the black of the asphalt. Her tan legs stood out against her white shorts and her tank top.

She ran her hand through her hair once more as she reached the drivers' side door and stood there for a second, just surveying the school where she had spent her first day of class. It wasn't so bad. She shrugged and opened the back door to her car, dropping her new bookbag inside.

She closed her door and stood beside her car, scoping out any other students in the parking lot as she pulled her cell phone. She sighed at the sight of it. It was about time her daddy buy her a new one. She decided to let him know, so she speed dialed his number.

"Hi Shelley. Is my dad in?.........Thank you." George's coworkers all knew to let Sophie through, whether he was accepting calls or not. "Hey daddy! How are you? Good, I'm glad. Listen, I think I need a new phone. No, daddy, one like the one I already have, just pink. Please? Yay! I expect it within the week, you know. Within the day? Okay, daddy. Thank you! I'll see you when you get home. I love you, too, daddy." She hung up, a satisfied smirk on her face as she put the phone in a pocket of her purse.

Now finished with her phone call, she pulled her earbuds out of her bag and put them in her ears, starting her iPod. Paramore, her favorite band, began to play, so she sang along softly as she leaned against her car. ~Does no one at this school drive?~ she thought, looking for any sign of life besides herself. She was the new girl, and she wanted to meet people...but there seemed to be no one who cared to take themself to school.

After her weekly detention serving, Audree McFarland came out of the school and began to head towards her piece of crap called a truck. She had just reached the door when she saw a girl who seemed some what familiar but Audree couldn't place her.

With her hand on the handle of the car door, Audree looked over at the girl's choice of fashion, then down at her own clothes. Black and white Beatles shirt, short skirt with leggings and a pair of Vans. Oh yeah, the two would get along just fine. [Insert sarcasm here]

She had walked in just in time to hear the girl's phone conversation and rolled her eyes. What the hell. It was like her phone was a magic wand or something. She just told it what she wanted, and poof!, she got it. Audree threw her bag inside the truck and debated whether to begin a conversation with the other girl, or not.

Sophie heard the school doors open and a girl she had seen before came walking out. She was so...familiar...but from where? They certainly hadn't hung out...ever. Sophie eyed the girl's clothes and almost had to laugh. They suited her, she supposed...but Sophie wouldn't be caught dead in them.

She looked at the girl's mode of transportation and then at her own car. She almost felt bad...almost. Sophie never claimed to hate her daddy being rich. In fact, she loved it, and didn't envy those who weren't.

She did, however, smile politely at the girl and turn off her iPod, putting it away. They may not be the best of friends, but the fact remained that she had seen her before, she was sure of it. Sophie wondered if the girl recognized her.

Was she the one who had shown Sophie around? That's it! She had helped Sophie find everything she needed to find. Sophie was grateful, but she wasn't sure the girl wanted to talk to her.

Audree noticed the girl smile, and awkwardly returned the same friendly smile. Oh yeah. Now she remembered the girl. She was the new girl that Audree had shown around because she was bored out of her skull. Yeah, now it was coming back to her.

She walked over towards the girl, deciding to at least start up a conversation before completely excluding the idea that they could ever become friends. "Sounds like you're getting a new phone then." She said with a little laugh.

Sophie slid her sunglasses up into her hair, pushing her blond locks back from her eyes. She adjusted her bag, feeling the awkwardness of this whole situation in the air like a blanket, smothering the fun away. She almost sighed aloud.

Then the girl walked over, and Sophie figured maybe things weren't as weird as she had imagined. She'd always been told she had an overactive imagination, and her parents had never reigned her in, sure their little girl would hate them for it.

Sophie smiled at the girl and nodded, blushing slightly, the idea of a new phone when she already had one seemed absurd, but she couldn't say she didn't want it. Oh, she did. "Yeah...that's what my daddy does. He makes things happen..." Sophie trailed off, then, with a sharp intake of breath, said, "I bet you don't remember me."
